It's fine, I can play everything at max, so for now it'll do. Once the next generation is out, I can always see if I wanna go for that. ;)

I had everything on max (in a window) with my old card already and never had trouble in terokkar. What should be wrong then?

With "I can play everything at max", I wasn't targeting wow. :P
Only game that is a bit harder at max is the crysis beta, but that still plays decently. Betas aren't optmized yet mostly though ofcourse.

its annoying to be honest because multisampling looks crap on lcd for some reason. and super is poor perf. well poor only in terro for some reason so im using it anyway

I'm a little late in posting this, given that I finished the game a whle back, but what are everyone's opinions of this game?

I liked it, but I can't help but think its a bit on the short side...

While episodic releases do pander to people with no patience and gives the develpers to show off their new tools, I would much prefer a proper release of HL3.

Having said all that, I did love the new hunters and finding out more about the G Man was great. Also, (without wanting to give plot lines away), it was quite a dramatic ending seeing one of the main characters pop their cloggs.

The question is, after Ep3, will we have HL3 or 4?

How does skating on thin ice land you in hot water?
Well, if the water is hot it will cause the ice to start melting, thereby becoming thin and a risk to any skater.

If I was to explain that they are two sayings that mean virtually the same thing, but when used in the same sentence seem to make little sense, would I sound like I am stating the obvious? :)

Episode 2 and Portal were both awesome. Short but great.

I'd rather a game wasn't padded out to just make it longer. What HL2 has right is it gives you thrills and spills for a while and then changes the formula - there's no padding, it gives you a dose of action and then another and another - it never gives you the same thing twice. It's awesome. Awesome McAwesome of the Clan McAwesome.

Portal was fantastic too, I feel a couple of extra levels would have improved it (there's a couple of elements I've thought of that they could have included and kept with the theme) but hopefully the community will start creating some top class user-made maps (hell, I might even give it a go myself).

TF2 isn't my cup of tea at all though. It looks very nice but it seems very shallow compared to Ep2/Portal and obviously WoW.

Have you completed all those bonus maps? Damn they're hard and frustrating! Espesially when Source engine's bu... er... features(TM) ruins everything(I had to complete that one map walking only 30 steps. I fell on top of one box and in 2 seconds my step counter was in 100 steps -.-).

Tried a few bonus maps - and they are really tricky. The number of steps one in particular is a pain in the arse.

Maybe a little too hard for my fragile little mind - but fun in short doses :)
