Way back before a certain something got fixed, a Warlock's Felhunter Minion had a nasty spell cast on it by Baron Geddon in Molten Core.
Essentially after a few seconds, the spell causes a huge explosion doing lots and lots of damage in a big AoE.
Said Warlock dismissed his pet before the spell went off. Later, in the auction house, he resummoned the felhunter...

That is hilarious. I also heard something about a deadly disease that someone picked up and then I think hearthed back to Orgrimmar, infected the NPC's, who then passed it onto all the players as well and practically wiped the whole place out!
