Experience

I started raiding in TBC in various guilds but ended up eventually in Revelation which was the rank 1 guild on Defias Brotherhood for many years. Raided with them from Gruul's lair untill start of ulduar.

Took a break from raiding but got back in it again with Catclysm, joined a 10 man heroic guild named The Core and
raided the whole expansion with them.

Skipped Mist of Pandaria raiding.

in warlords of Draenor I mostly did the current content on heroic difficulty.

In Legion due to work schedule I havent had much time playing and also took a break from wow in november 2016 and
just got back 5 days ago, in this time I have pugged 10/10 normal Nighthold and 4/10 heroic Nighthold.


Raid Role

Being a pure dps class my role is to do damage but in a smart way so that you can still do the boss mechanics and survive beacuse as dead I dont do any damage.

I prepare for a boss / raid by looking up the fight in advance, reading up on the encounter but also watching Fatbosstv videos on youtube.

I also use MMO-Champion and Altered time ( everything you need for a mage) forums.

for self improvment it's comparing logs with simmilar geared mages and see how i do compared to them and what i could do better on an encounter.

Your Spec

My main spec is frost and my artifact is level 40. Since frost got 2 different proccs to keep track of (brain freeze and Fingers of Frost) the prio change depending on what procc you have.

If you only have brain freeze procced it's : Frostbolt > Brain Freeze > Ice lance

If you have Fingers of Frost and Brain Freeze you wanna dump the Fingers of Frost first and then do the Frostbolt > Brain Freeze > Ice lance rotation

For stats i sim myself to get a correct stats weight for me, but in general it's Intelect > Crit till 30-33% > Haste > Versatility

For me since i have 31% crit, haste and Versatility is better.

For talents i switch between splitting ice and Frozen Touch depending if it's cleave or single target

Off-specs and Alternative characters

I wouldent have a problem with going fire for an encounter if it's needed.

Communication

Yes I have a microphone and I can use it during encounters if needed. I also dont have a problem with checking the forum for updates or discussion.

Combat Logs

Since i got back 5 days ago and got quite alot of uppgrades fairly fast I dont have any current logs sadly

My ui is the standard wow ui with weakauras for my cds and proccs, also using deadly boss mod for boss encounters.

Currently in the guild as a social but i havent realy played with anyone from RG2 as off right now

I'm one of those crazy people that have only mained one character since vanilla ! And you guessed right it's this mage,
I'm one of the few left on Defias Brotherhood with one of the highest pvp ranks from vanilla (field marshal) did the honor grind like crazy back in the days
