[RG2] Lunnaika, marksmanship hunter
Posted: 03 Apr 2017, 19:53
The green text are what's new from my old original application back in WoD, just incase you wanna skip what you already read :)
Who is your character?
My characters name is Lunnaika, Marksman mainspec and Beast Master secondary spec.
Armory
Wowprogress
Who are you?
My name is Kriss, a 27 year old polar bear from Norway.
To which Raid Group are you Applying?
I am applying for RG2 because it perfectly fits my schedule with my team practices and whatnot :)
Experience
I started playing on day 1 in vanilla, clearing all content there including naxx40 about 2-3 resets after Nihilum did. After TBC came out and we cleared tier 4 content, I decided to quit playing. I came back for WoD and managed to clear Highmaul heroic, HFC mythic 6/13. I had to take a break when the legion prepach hit, due to an inflammation in my wrist - apparently boosting CMs really put a toll on it. I sent a private message to the officers informing them of my absence, and that I'd like to return one day if it managed to heal.
I played a holy priest throughout Vanilla, and went over to hunter at the start of TBC. Due to my innate love of having an insane amount of consumables with me in every raid - I started outperforming the other hunters for spots, because I took more advantage of my resources than they did. Meaning I would pop big mana pots at 80% mana on every try (got me to 99-100% mana) and whenever it was off cooldown again to keep the dps going. Hunters were competing for spots, so there was about to become drama. and that's when I decided to quit instead.
Coming back to WoD, I played protection warrior. I made a guild and was raid-leading it as well as co-tanking with a friend from work during our progression through heroic Highmaul. However, I felt my raid leading was suffering from my tanking and lack of overview of the fights, so I rerolled hunter again. Rest of the WoD and Legion experience is on the hunter.
Raid Role
As hunters have changed drastically from when I played in WoD, our role is quite similar. we bring high on demand burst and somewhat good mobility as a MM hunter - tho' BM is obviously the king of mobility atm. Extremely long-ranged interrupts are definately a plus on some fights in Nighthold - and surely in the Tomb of Sargeras being released soonish.
I usually learn new things from reading / watching videos or testing them myself. Through either youtube, icy-veins, mmo-champion or simply discussing things through a guild class channel or class forum here.
I judge my own performance through logs. Logging every raid and comparing my parses with other hunters at or around the same ilvl and gear / set bonuses.
Your Spec
I'm still working on my dps rotation and priority list - testing out talents and what not.
As far as I know, there are alot of fun builds as a hunter that all seem to work - it's just a matter of preference.
Maybe more so in M+ though :)
Off-specs and Alternative characters
I plan on maxing out my MM traits first, then go for BM - apparently MM was way more fun than I expected in Legion. I also have a monk at ilvl 875 - but I don't plan on playing it unless nessecary (which I highly doubt it will be).
Communication
I have a microphone, and I have no trouble using it during raids if needed.
Also have no problem discussing tactics/general scheming on the forums or in gchat / class channels
Combat Logs
Sadly I don't have any new logs, as I'm still figuring the spec out.
If it's nessecary, I'll make some.
Your UI
My UI is basically pure standard, except moving my frame and target frame in the middle. I have no weakauras or tellmewhens. I use tidy plates though
I'll be fixing some weakauras sooner or later though :)
Guild History
Vanilla:
From the start of vanilla, I was in <The Moonlight Council>, which I left after it split into two guilds, and decided to apply for a different one (was alot of drama, me no like drama).
I then applied to <Decimation> as it was the server best guild. They were currently progressing on Patchwerk in Naxxramas, and this is where my journey started into completing this lovely raid tier.
WoD:
I made a guild with my co-worker called "Chommy and the Guns", he is called Chommy at work, so I felt it fit pretty well. We cleared highmaul HC right before the first christmas in WoD, then we both decided to take another break. I came back in the middle of HFC.
I then joined <Twins> on grim-batol, and got my remaining raid experience from there.
<Twins> then decided to roll on horde to be more hardcore, I decided to follow Shantie to TRC as a social instead.
Been here in TRC ever since I got accepted as a social, and I love it here :)
Raid availability
I am available for raids every day except tuesday and thursday from 18.00-23.00
References
I played with Shantie in <Twins> before he went over to you guys, so I decided to follow him instead.
About you
Hey all
I'm Kriss, I live in a city called Stavanger, in Norway. I have a license as an electrician, though I am now working at an oil & gas company, building lots of explosion protected stuff for boats and platforms.
I have a dog called Rikke, a long coated Boarder Collie, 8 years old. Just recently bought a new appartment, and living the dream :) Looking forward to raid and do mythic+ dungeons in legion! (hopefully with you guys)
Miscellaneous
