Who is your character?
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/d ... aro/simple

Applying as Restoration (or Enhancement if DPS is on a higher priority)

Who are you?
Hi! My name is Dima, I'm 22 years old, soon to begin studying computer science B.Sc.

To which Raid Group are you Applying?
I'm applying for RG1 as I'm interested in progressive mythic raiding come Legion.

Experience:
I started playing WoW at the end of Vanilla (about two months before TBC). Started raiding seriously in TBC as a Resto Druid:
TBC: Cleared pretty much everything with server firsts (save several fights in SWP, mu'ru wasn't pre-patch for ex.)
WotLK: Cleared everything up to Ulduar two keepers.
After our guild went under several changes I started playing more casually and focusing on my studies, been clearing Cata & MoP by pugging, not much real experience in end-game raiding on those expansions.
WoD: Was (and still am) pugging, trying to clear as much as possible. Mostly came back to serious playing after HFC released. My experience is still rather dull, mostly cleared HFC on HC, spanned across characters. Picked a shaman main a few months ago as I had to decide on what to play in Legion, and I do thoroughly enjoy playing my shaman as both Resto and Enhancement.

As you can see my experience in the last expansions is pretty lackluster which is why I consider this application a rather long-shot.
I've been looking to come back to hardcore raiding for some time now ever since being able to dedicate more time to the game, but mostly refrained from applying to guilds due to lack of current raiding experience and gear to some extent. But with Legion coming around the corner I assumed this would be a good time to try and prove myself on a fresh start.

Raid Role:
Well I always think a persons role in the raid is to maximize his output/potential while having fun doing so.
As such, I usually frequent mmo-champion's forums and other theory crafting resources to really understand the underlying class mechanics rather than just pressing several buttons to heal and that's it.
I try my best to excel in whichever class I play (and while rather fresh as a Shaman I always strive to improve), even while pugging a la "tryharding".
I also understand attendance and general good attitude to the game is required and I do believe I fill that criteria, after all we're all here to have fun and collect pixels.
Self-improvement and accepting critique is definitely important and I try to review my performance as much as possible to see where I can improve. I started maining Shaman a few months ago and I still have a long way to go with mastering the class. Even longer considering a new expansion is coming up with drastic class changes (altough less on shamans :'( )

In terms of rotations:
Resto - Not much to say here, feels a bit more reactive since pre-patch.
Mostly keeping up Healing Rain on grouped up people (usually Melee)
Chain Heals for clearing up raid damage, reactively heal sniping with Riptide while keeping up the HoT on the tanks.
Spending Tidal Waves on Healing Wave as a way to top off or Healing Surge as emergency/dealing with damage spikes.
All this while chaining Healing Stream Totem and Cloudburst, sometimes ending Cloudburst preemptively if a bit of burst healing is needed.
Healing Tide on phases with large spread out damage. Spirit Link used sometimes as a a last resort to save someone or spread out damage with aoe healing combination (Healing Rain + Chain Heal or even Healing Tide).
Enhancement - Rotation has become rather standard:
Pre-pull: Pot, Flametongue (on pull)
Boulderfist --> Frostbrand --> Wolves --> Crash Lightning --> Stormstrike --> Boulderfist
Then it's a matter of keeping up Flametongue and Frostbrand procs and Crash Lightning AoE effect. Meanwhile using Boulderfist for Maelstorm generation and using Stormstrike on Stormbringer proc and Lava Lash as a mean to not cap Maelstorm.

Your Spec:
T1 - Torrent being the most obvious choice, best healing output of the three. Great synergy with 2pc. Sometimes I run Unleash Life in small scale PvP for better burst healing. Kind of irrelevant though.
T2 - I run mostly Graceful Spirit since I would assume Wind Rush Totem is more progress/mechanic oriented. Some movement based fights do come in mind for WRT though (Reaver, Kormok to some extend, Iskar, Tyrant, Archimonde and Mannoroth). Graceful Spirit though can definitely be a life-saver and helps speed up 5 mans and assists in burst healing while on the move.
T3 - Mostly PvP CC tier but I usually run Earhgrab for the added root and snare, or Lightining Surge for some pesky packs on 5man mythics to help undergeared tanks.
T4 - I switch between Ancestral Guidance and Deluge. I use Deluge on mostly sustained damage fights (pretty much almost everything on HC since pre-patch) and Ancestral Guidance where mostly burst healing needed. (Kilrogg and Gorefiend come to mind)
T5 - Solely run Ancestral Vigor, haven't found much uses for the other two. Earthern Shield could be used on sustained damage I suppose, but I rather provide the 10% HP bonus if no other resto shaman is present.
T6 - I run Cloudburst Totem, good utility and timed burst heal, especially on large AoE damage while healing with chain-heal/healing rain. Bottomless Depths seems pretty lackluster because Mana Efficiency seems to be a non-problem for now, could probably more viable in 110.
T7 - Mostly High Tide. Very useful in raids because it very much improves the raid healing efficiently by buffing Chain Heal by quite a bit. Sometimes use Ascendance when burst raid healing is needed, but because it's on a 3 minute cooldown I don't use it too much.

I'll do a quick recap on Enhancement talents as well:
It's mostly cookie-cutter 3-x-x-3-1-1-2.
Seems like currently Enhancement shamans are about sustained DPS with the talents accommodating that (Boulderfist,Hailstorm,Crashing Storm and Landsile). Maelstorm is a bit limiting and there's a pretty big damage reliance on Stormstrike proc, but from what I understand and read it's much less problematic at 110 so I've no worries there. RIP survivability in PvP though for now ):

Off-specs and Alternative characters:
I run Enhancement as offspec. I'm quite proficient with it and should have no issues switching if needed. Gear is a few ilvl's higher as Enhanc.
I have several level 100 alts, but they're usually used for mount farming since I'm focusing on my shaman as much as possible before Legion. Could definitely play any class as an alt if needed.

Communication:
Yup, I have a microphone (Hyperx Cloud 2) and have no issues speaking on voice comms, nor frequenting the forums.

Combat Logs:
I've got several logs on mostly Normal HFC I recorded last week, I had lower-HFC HC recorded as well but I can't seem to find it on the warcraftlogs site. Also has some logs before pre-patch.
Here's the link to my profile:
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/c ... bracket=-1
If need be I can record several kills this week as well.

Your UI:
http://imgur.com/a/6y7U3
Nothing special.
The usual a tad-bit edited ElvUI frames, some custom WA I made to help my track CDs and durations. Same goes for Enhancement.
Another bar set on mouseover to the side with misc things like runes/flasks mounts and useless spells.
Other than what is visible I use Skada and DBM. Will probably change a few things come Legion to better accommodate but for now it suits me good.

Guild History:
During my raiding days in TBC days I've raided with The Logical Cube on Eonar. The guild stopped progression for a while in wotlk though.
Left for Imperium on Nagrand and raided with those guys in wotlk all the way to to Ulduar. The guild went several changes in members and management after clearing current content. I decided to play more casually and focus on my studying back then.

Raid availability:
I shouldn't have any issues attending all of the raids.
I'm pretty much free every day until November (start of the semester) so I can dish out a lot of time to prepare for Legion and on release. Afterwards I'll be able to keep attendance as needed, and off days as well of course.

References:
Mostly checked WoWProgress on our current lovely realm-pool. Sadly I don't know anyone in the guild ):

About you:
Wellll, I'm playing WoW because I thoroughly enjoy it. Have been missing the whole social aspect and progressive aspect of raiding for a long while now since raiding was probably the most fun I had in wow.
Been a while since I've been in a real guild so it's definitely a change I'd like to have come Legion.

Miscellaneous:
Like I previously said I'm kind of under-geared and have a pretty nil experience in terms of serious mythic raiding this past expansion, but I thought It's worth a shot in any case.

Thanks for reading!

Sure thing!
I've uploaded a few more kills on the logs, I'll finish up pugging HFC HC this week and should have some more data if needed.
Thanks :)

We can't actually trial anyone properly during the pre-patch, it will be some days into the expansion before we can take a closer look at a trialee. So for now we're just waiting for Legion to happen.

I like your application, though more data will be needed.

At level 110 we could team up for mythic+ dungeons. This would help us check if we could to give you a raid trial at a later date.

And what should we do with it until then? Maybe put it in a box and then sit on the box?

Gnomes love boxes.

We can have the goat make cheese for us until then!
If we're not happy with the cheese then we put it in a box.
