Who is your character?

Name: Ernski
Class: Paladin
Specs: Retribution for both PvE and PvP
Armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/d ... i/advanced

Who are you?

My name is Petri, I'm 26 years old and living in Finland. I work with my father installing and maintaining surveillance cameras and equipment. The work hours are mostly unknown until the day I actually go to work, sometimes they can take most of the day, sometimes we get our work done earlier. More on that down below.

To which Raid Group are you Applying?

I would like apply to RG1.

Experience

I started playing Paladin in vanilla raiding Molten Core and BWL, continuing the same character till this very day. I didn't have insane success in PvE, casually and sometimes more serious raiding through most of the expansions more or less. I was more experienced in arenas specifically, but that isn't why I'm applying, since I'm far more interested in the PvE aspect than PvP at the moment. I've had pretty good success when I was raiding with Murtoraja in BRF, downing 6/10 in mythic, where I managed to get some top 10 logs (expired now). Later I joined Paradise Lost, where I had 13/13 heroic HFC and Hellfire Assault on mythic.

Your Spec

Current stat priority changes so much for Retribution depending on what gear you have and talents you choose. For example, using full T18 running with Final Verdict, mastery > multistrike = crit = haste > versatility. When using Seraphim for single target only fights, haste pulls slightly ahead of mastery.

For me in my current gear and talents, it's the first.

Glyphs:

Glyph of Templar's Verdict: Cookie-cutter obvious choice for virtually any fight where you take any form of damage. Pretty much mandatory.

Glyph of Judgment: Mostly the second glyph that I mostly don't change, except if I need to sac with Glyph of Hand of Sacrifice and I have to replace Judgment with Mass Exorcism in AoE heavy fights if I can't have both.

Glyph of Hand of Sacrifice: Mostly as an additional tank cd, this talent can be used twice with talent Clemency. Very effective in progress raids especially.

Glyph of Mass Exorcism: For those cleave/AoE fights when Hand of Sac glyph is not needed.

Minor glyphs don't offer any gain, so they don't matter.

Talents:

Most of the talents are pretty standard, so real DPS talents that you really change are dependent on your gear and whether there are multiple mobs or just single target. In full T17 I picked Divine Purpose and Final Verdict. Starting at 2pT18, I go for Sanctified Wrath instead of Divine Purpose. In single target only fights and with full T18, I'll propably go for Seraphim instead of Final Verdict. For AoE fights with 2 or more enemies, I pick Lights Hammer, for single target: Execution Sentence.

For utility in tier 4, I pick either Clemency if I have to BoP/Sac twice, or for mostly personal survivability I take Unbreakable Spirit.

Off-specs and Alternative characters

At the moment I don't have other characters that I would raid with. Also, I'm way better as DPS than healer or tank, so I would rather stick to something I'm better at than being mediocre at best with the others.

Communication

I do have Mumble and a working mic, but I'm mostly pretty silent in raids since it helps me to concentrate. I listen/read more than I talk as a personality. I will speak if something concerning me will happen, like using Sac for example.

Guild History

My history has been pretty rich to say the least, so I'm going to keep this brief and keep to this expansion alone:

At the start of the expansion I was in my friend's guild Elwynn Cub Scouts which I've been in for a while, but eventually the population in that guild had deteriorated to the point of nothing happening. A week before BRF I was burning with anticipation to raid, so I decided to apply for Murtoraja to raid seriously. After a pretty successful start, core raiders started to leave the guild and eventually there was no more raids, or anything. My friend from previous guild asked me to join Bloodwind to have something to do, but it just didn't feel right for me even though it was a PvP guild. They managed to get some raids going, but mostly consisted on having 3-4 people from the guild and rest had to be pugged. Then I saw advertisement for Paradise Lost and applied to that. 13/13 heroic and 1 mythic kill later, core raiders started to depart again. That was the last guild I was part of.

Raid availability

As I said earlier at the top, my work times fluctuate a lot. Some days I'm getting early back from the work, but sometimes work times can take longer than initially expected. Even though in previous guilds I didn't miss a single raid because of work, I can't guarantee 100% attendance. Long work times are extremely rare that they would collide with raid times and dates, but it can still happen.

Other than that, I'm all hands on deck ready to go.

References

I talked with Stukov as he contacted me through a recommendation of Lilou from Paradise Lost. Also Razzíl from Murtoraja joined here!

About you

I work with surveillance equipment as mentioned before, I'm an avid gamer and computer enthusiast. Also working my way of completing my studies at Suomen Yrittäjäopisto (roughly translated as "Finland's Entrepreneur Academy") to become a datanome.

Miscellaneous

Thank you for your time to read this through.
I'm open for any questions you have in mind!
