Who is your character?

I am applying with my lil gnome monk Turnips, currently discovering Draenor mainly tanking away as Brewmaster.

Who are you?

My name is Madeleine, I live in Lund, Sweden. I am 26 years old and currently studying at Lund University to become a Criminologist (only one year to go, yay!) and working part-time at an insurance company.

Activity

I like all sorts! My range of characters should prove that I have tasted almost everything what WoW can offer. I would be lying if I denied that my favourite way of passing time in the game is raiding. The only thing I probably never will enjoy (or be good at) is PvP. For some reason my nerves are too weak to battle against other players, hands shaking and everything! Its slightly embarrassing.

Guild history

Oh! Since I have been in the game since TBC this list could turn out long, but I can make a short summary. I started off joining The Seraphsong, a casual raiding guild. Back then I was playing my feral druid Elewith and experienced the raid environment from the tank point of view. After a while, I learnt that I wanted more of the raid aspect of the game and joined The New Expedition as one of their three tanks. Tanking Illidans fire elementals is one of my greatest memories in this game, and since I was 17-18 (?) at the time it was also slightly scary as one mistake surely would wipe the whole raid. When Illidan evidently died I was so happy!

When Wotlk came I spent most of my raiding time with The Tempered Sun. This time as the dwarven beauty Doría, for most of that expansion but at the end I wanted a change and rerolled to my enhancement shaman Hékla. Thru Cataclysm Undying Legacy became my home but the guild sadly died out (slightly ironic, considering the name) before Dragon Soul came out. I decided to take a break from the game and came back for MoP. MoP started off a bit bumpy, but I ended up doing most of my raiding with Nox Libria, this time as elemental shaman.

When WoD hit I started off in the same guild as Myst (he recently got accepted by you guys, applied as Hokee), Purgatory, which worked out fairly well to start with. Soon I ended up as ranged officer and working together with the other officers and the raidteam we had alot of fun thru Highmaul. Sadly, two groups were forming in the guild, some people wanted more casual raiding and some people felt the urge to aim higher. The guild was declared "dead" by the guildmaster shortly after Blackrock Foundry was launched. A group of us decided to hit the road and went horde, probably more for a laugh than anything. When Hellfire Citadel was approaching I felt myself itching for raiding again and migrated to Stormscale and joined a RL friends guild, called Yoshi City with my current main Tots, goblin MM/BM hunter. My main is still in that guild.

(I realised I might have failed at the summary, as I claimed to make it short. ><)

References

I heard about you thru my boyfriend, currently in your guild with his characters Hokee and Myst. I also know Hurley, he also recently got accepted. Otherwise Im not aware of anyone that I know per se but since you guys are a quite an "old" guild I recognise a few names from back in the day. I had a brief chat with Stukov last night, if that counts. ;]

About you

I should explain my current situation. As mentioned my hunter, my main, is on Stormscale. After speaking to Stukov I learnt that your current RG1 is rather overwhelmed by hunters and that there is no spot open for that kind of role. As I want to be able to play WoW together with my boyfriend I am applying for a social spot to also get to know you guys, and if a hunter-spot would open up I would probably make another application with my raiding character.

Gnomes

I wasn't too keen on gnomes until I leveled my warlock Novi. After doing a but of silly RP I just fell in love with the buggers. When creating my monk, I knew it had to be a gnome. And honestly, what's more awesome than a female gnome called Turnips?
