To which Raid Group are you Applying?
Raid Group 1
Experience
My Prior raiding experience mainly comes from the Cataclysm expansion. In Cataclysm I raided with a solid guild that managed to get 4/8 bosses on Heroic in Dragon Soul before the Mists of Pandaria pre-patch hit. During the Mists of Pandaria expansion I decided to take a break as I did not like the direction the expansion was moving towards and thus I did not raid at a high level. With Warlords of Draenor I started with a clean slate and feel't it was time to start raiding on a high level again. In Warlords I have at the moment a full 7/7 HC clear in Highmaul and a 10/10 HC clear in BRF. I also have Kargath, Butcher and Tectus Mythic progression.
Raid Role
My Current raid role within my guild is being a damage dealer, as a damage dealer it's very important in my opinion that you come prepared for every encounter. That you take your time to study the mechanics, which specialization is better for the specific encounter. I evaluate myself after every encounter, What could I have done better? Was I attacking the right target when supposed to? This is also how I learn new things when I raid, comparing different ways I approached the encounter and seeing what made the difference. Pushing myself into becoming a better player also keeps my focused during all times during a raid.
I also keep myself up to date on how the Hunter class is performing on websites such a Icy-veins and the blizzard forums for Hunter changes.
Your Spec
1. Cast Kill Command
2. Cast Kill Shot
3. Use Barrage, if the encounter benefits from this talent
4. Keep Steady Focus up, If the encounter benefits from this talent
5. Cast Arcane Shot dump any excess Focus.
6. Cast Cobra Shot to generate Focus.
This is my opinion the best rotation for doing single target damage as a Beast Mastery Hunter.
As a Beast Mastery hunter the most preferred stats are Mastery for AoE and Multistrike for Single target. A good mix of these makes for an excellent BM hunter.
[Posthaste vs Narrow Escape vs Crouching Tiger,Hidden Chimaera]
Crouching tiger is good for almost every fight as the Cooldown reduction on both Disengage and Deterrence are really beneficial.
Narrow escape does nothing for PvE as the root Mechanic is most of the time useless
Posthaste can be a valid talent to use on fights where you can benefit from the increased movement speed to avoid incoming damage or to get a better position.
[Binding Shot vs Wyvern Sting vs Intimidation]
Binding shot is the most useful one out of these three PvP oriented talents as it can be used to stun adds during trash or sometimes during a specific encounter.
Both Wyvern sting and Intimidation have almost 0 interaction during any encounter.
[Exhilaration vs Iron Hawk vs Spirit Bond]
I tend to swap between Iron Hawk or Spirit Bond depending on what kind of damage intensity the encounter brings. Iron Hawk is better for fights where large intensive damage can be reduced to help the healers. Spirit Bond is better for fights where damage will occur during the entire fight but can be healed up quite fast with Spirit bond such as Imperator or Blast furnace.
Exhilaration in it's current state is just a 2 min healing tonic that takes up a GCD and thus is a DPS loss overall.
[Steady Focus vs Dire Beast vs Thrill of the Hunt]
Steady focus is better overall on AoE/Cleave fights as you benefit from the increased focus regeneration.
Dire Beast is better overall on Single Target fights as the extra damage from the beast helps a lot.
Thrill of the hunt is weak compared to the rest and is never used.
[A Murder of Crows vs Blink Strikes vs Stampede]
Stampede brings the most burst, especially during fights that last longer than 5 min+.
Blink Strikes can be a valid choice on Cleave fights but is not used most of the time.
A Murder of Crows are far too weak to be considered viable as a talent choice here.
[Glavie Toss vs Powershot vs Barrage]
Barrage is by far the most viable option in this tier compared to the Glavie Toss and Powershot. It excels at both Single Target and AoE damage.
[Exotic Munitions vs Focusing Shot vs Adaptation]
Adaptation is the preferred talent in this tier as the increased damage from your Pet greatly increases your overall damage. Both Exotic Munitions and Focusing shot are far too weak to even be considered.
[Glyphs]
I like to run with Glyph of Disengage for the extra range
Glyph of Deterrence for the reduced damage
Glyph of Tranq shot is useful during encounters where enrage or magic effects need to be dispelled.
Glyph of Animal Bond is also a viable option to help the healers a bit.
Off-specs and Alternative characters
I'm very comfortable in both my Beast Mastery spec as in my Survival Spec and will have no issues switching when needed.
I also have a Raid ready Fury/Protection Warrior and a Boomkin
