Who is your character?
[Your character name, class, specs, and Armory link. Try to log out in main-spec gear]
Answer here.
Lannistar - http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/d ... tar/simple
I play a ret paladin, the armoury hasnt updated since the ilvl upgrade and my current ilvl is 686

Who are you?
[Your name, age, where you're from, etc]
Answer here.
My name is Herman and i am 16 years old, i am from the UK and go to college.

To which Raid Group are you Applying?
[Our raid groups are "RG1" (3 days a week, Mythic progress priority) & "RG2" (2 days a week, Heroic progress, Mythic when possible). Each raid group has its own requirements and expectations, and you should have a preference on which one you join.]
Answer here.
RG1

Experience
[What is your prior raiding experience? Which tiers? LFR/Flex/Normal/Heroic/Mythic? And importantly: Did you clear these raids when they were current content (the most recent tier added), or come back in the next patch? For "Heroic" SoO please be clear whether you mean pre-6.0 or not (before/after the name changes). If you've performed any character change re-rolling in your time, what character(s) and role(s) did you play during which content?]
Answer here.
10/10HC BRF (Blackhand kill pre nerf) 1/7M HM (Pre BRF). I cleared normal SoO as a tank right before 6.0 hit and only rejoined the game in very late 5.4 (Around August). In the past i cleared all of normal Dragon soul as an enhance shaman as well as the first boss on heroic while it was current content.

Raid Role
[Describe your current role in a raid team, how you prepare for it and how you judge your own performance. Where do you learn new things and keep yourself updated on your class?]
Answer here.
As a DPS i will prepare by examining which parts of the fight would be ideal for use of cooldowns and areas in which i can gain the most dps or use my dps to help the group the most. In order to judge performance i can look at logs of fights and compare my actions to those that are performing at the 95th percentile and above. In order to keep updated on the class i read every hotfix and patch and then look at the MMO champion forums on my class as there is not any good resources like sacred duty for ret paladins to my knowledge.

Your Spec
[Tell us about your rotation priorities (for DPS primarily), stat priorities, important talent and glyph choices, etc. We like to see the insight behind your gear and build choices, and it clarifies things in case Armory shows you in some strange PvP/soloing spec!]
Answer here.
In my rotation i always prioritise generating as much holy power as possible through my generators: Hammer of wrath, crusader strike, judgement and then exorcism (in order of priority). Exorcism gains a higher priority after using hammer of wrath due to the T17 four set bonus. I will generally try to use as many generators as possible and keep them on cooldown, if i am at 5 holy power I will use a finisher to dump it. For different fights I will generally switch between glyphs like divine protection and mass exorcism. I will also change talents depending fight mostly choosing between light's hammer and execution sentence. I will also choose between clemency and unbreakable spirit but clemency is usually the choice due to the power of hand of sacrifice. I prioritise Mastery above all other secondary stats and then aim to get my haste to 15% while buffed and then get as much multistrike as possible. In blackrock foundry there is lots of gear which has no haste but lots of mastery and multistrike, i therefore decide for the multistrike and mastery gear as hitting the haste cap is not worth losing those other stats.

Off-specs and Alternative characters
[How comfortable are you switching to your off-spec for a fight/raid if needed?
Do you have any alts that would also be a viable option for raiding with us? (for the case that we love you but can't fit your main in our rosters) Please add Armory links for other characters if so, and tell us to what degree they are/have been played.]
Answer here.
My offspec is protection and i used to raid in HM as a tank and also in SoO. I also have a rogue alt called shadowtheif(http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/d ... eif/simple) which is 677 ilvl. I play this character relatively often and know the two core specs that are played relatively well.

Communication
[Do you have a microphone and how comfortable are you with using it during encounters if needed? Are you happy to use these forums for discussion of tactics/general scheming, and check back regularly for important information?]
Answer here.
I have a microphone and am very comfortable to use it during an encounter when asked and am also happy to discuss through the forums on this site

Combat Logs
[If possible please link a log showing your character raiding current content. If you have no logs, please explain why (eg, logs expired) and/or aim to log your performance from an LFR/Normal/PUG run, to add to your application. TRC raiders are expected to review their own performance on Warcraft Logs in order to improve, so you should be/get used to doing this. ;) It's especially important for dps-players, and applicants who would need to transfer before we can trial them (eg Horde).]

Your UI
[Attach a screenshot of your current raiding UI, and if it shows anything unusual (in the UI, not the chat box :p), feel free to explain your choices.]

Guild History
[What other guilds have you been in? What made you move(/plan to move) from these guilds, and why do you want to join TRC?]
Answer here.
I have previously been in The four kings and am currently in Nova initia. I have decided to move due to many members deciding to leave the guild leaving us with very few people left. I would like to join TRC because i would like to make good raid progress and also to meet new people who i have been told by my current guild master(Jejnao) are very friendly

Raid availability
[Can you generally make all of our raiding days/times, or are there any difficulties with this? Our current raid schedule is found here.]
Answer here.
I can make all raid nights posted there

References
[How did you hear about us? And do you know someone from the game who can vouch for you as player/person?]
Answer here.
I heard about you by looking at wowprogress and i once did a challenge mode run with some members of your guild as a tank at the beginning of WoD.

About you
[A little something about yourself as a person. It can be brief if you like, it's just a sort of introduction to the rest of the guild. :)]
Answer here.
I am a 16 year old guy who has played wow for many years and has had many poor guild experiences and would like to put those behind me.

Miscellaneous
[If you have any extra notes that do not necessarily fit in anywhere else, stick 'em here.]

Morning Sir Lannistar,

We'd like to offer you a trial with RG1! Most likely your first raid would be on Thursday (tomorrow), where we'll do Mythic farm bosses.

One note from our review: Your DPS in your current logs are good, however during the trial we'd like to see you improve on avoiding the.. avoidable damage mechanics, compared to those logs. You've got plenty of experience in BRF, so I trust you know what they all are, and how you could use your CDs better. I imagine you just get a bit sloppy with that while farming Heroic mode.. ;)

Make sure you have Mumble, Angry Assignments and EPGPLootmaster installed before the raid, and know your tactics for the first 5 Mythic bosses in preparation.

And please whisper an officer in game for a guild invite when you're ready.

Cheers!
