Who is your Character?
Roufûs the Noble, Fury Warrior. Flexible OS.

Who are you?
Hi, I'm Peter o/. I'm 27 and from the UK.
To which Raid Group are you Applying?
Raid Group 1
Experiance
Vanilla Exp: UBRS/ MC/ZG/Ony/BWL and Ruins AQ. I THINK up to twins in AQ40 and i certainly did up to 4h in Naxx.
TBC: Kara/SSC/TK/Hyjal/ZA, and MOST of BT. Never did sunwell.
Wrath. Full clear on everything. With certain full clear HC achievements.
Cata and MoP become a bit more patchy. Totfw, and BoT cleared on 10 man, and up to nef in BD. Mop Was Terrance,Heart and Vaults, and then SoO with you guys in RG2 on My Huntard Tzigan. Guild break ups and generally not 'feeling' the expansions lead to the more off and on again Raiding Exp here.
Also I’ve spent most of my time of wow as a Paladin Tank and a Raid Leader. I gave Hunter a go @ the end of MoP which wasn’t great success tbh, and i didn’t really enjoy the play style. Warrior feel more natural and more inline with the way i like to play. its quite fun actually, having mained a paladin for years switching it up and learning just how/waht is the best approach for me on a new class.
Raid role
Well, Damage is pretty primary, but i guess buffing if needed and not failing is pretty important. Flasks/food/pots and all that. I'll usually hop on one of MANY sites that give you tactics and vids etc for bosses, ,so i'm always as up to date as i can be.
In all honesty however, i'm far more inclined to the 'lets give it a go' approach. i can only be so prepared with tac's but i really like to actually give the encounters a go to really get the fight. Most flights have a flow, they're all a dance, and once you have the rhythm of a fight and know your place, something that a guide can't give you, you're most of the way there to having it 'mastered'
Talent choices
I'll always spec to the content. There are always X and Y reasons to have Talent A or B. some fights simply don't gel with what is currently THE best dps/tank/healer talent tree, you have to be adaptable. a current example would be atm i'm feeling the love for Siegebreaker instead of Ravager for CM reasons, the movement required doesn't hold up with the talent imo.
Off-specs and Alternative characters
I'm not one who's terribly attached to Characters. so if you did love me but can't really afford another warrior. I can always 'switch, but currently none are at max. I have a 91 Rogue, 92 Paladin (old main) and 90 Monk, Hunter and DK. I also have a Mage and a Warlock but around 60. all of which could be leveled and geared to mah warriors current ilvl etc etc pretty quick. GENERALLY speaking i don't heal anymore. My tanking is pretty good. with most of my TBC onwards raid exp being MT.
Mah UI
(its on my Paladin but its pretty similar.) http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae32 ... 145127.jpg
Communication
i am an able and willing communicator.
Combat Logs
I've really got none to share.
Guild History
Kyro, Apocalypse, Verve and AV, on my 1st server Vashj. Kyro and Apoc, Av and a 4th guild where basically the same guild re-packaged a few times, that eventually ended for me with a server transfer after i got bored with guild Drama (i think). THese guilds and Verve where all through Vanilla and up to the MH/BT 'unlock' patch. (also all on Vashj and also where i played with Lomil)
The rest of TBC was spent in Loot inc, on Burning blade then Stormreaver. Alot of ppl decided to call it a day when Wrath came out so the guild broke up, amicably. Riarn and i then joined Anastasis, which was actually quite successful until a raging gnome had an absolute nerdrage fit on 'comms' and it never really recovered (raid leader/officer). We then joined Cartel, which is where we started playing with Pylori. THis one ended when the Gm quit at the end of wrath, as he didn't want to play into Cata. Then for Cata i joined Delirium Tremens, which basically fell apart after the RL/GM/Officer(s) quit. Then i went on a break and repeated the last DT step again at the start of MoP!
And then we come to you guys, The Raven Council. I knew quite a lot of people on DB, so sent over a few characters and started again. Pyi recommended you guys and which obviously lead to the Social app. Personally after having a couple of mediocre expansion experiences and guild break ups i was all up for joing a stable, organised and well run guild. Join initially as social was simply done to not being able to commit the time to raiding until WoD.
I mean you likely didn't want a TOTAL run though like this but tbh i had a lovely time remembering it all!
Raid availability
Unless there is a specific 'thing' that come up for whatever reason i'm always avalable, and able.
References
Pylori is probably your best bet for most of it. I was a MT/Raid Leader when we raided together. and Lomil can confirm that i existed in Vanilla, but not much else.
About you
I’m not terribly interesting i’m afraid. I play games, i read, i watch tv, i work. repeat. OooO i have three pet rats! Yuffie, Rikku, and Tifa, and i would drink coffee till i drowned if Riarn let me.

Re: Roufûs the Noble, Fury Warrior (RG1)
Hello! A fellow fury warrior maniac here! I'd like to ask a few questions and chitchat about fury in general if that's fine.
First of all, it's no lie that fury is the least attractive spec at the moment when talking about warriors, numbers wise. Do you feel the future tuning patches (before mythic opens) are going to fix some of these issues and how would you like them to go about fixing them? Also what makes you stick to fury, out of curiosity?
Moving on to stats (crit obviously being the best one out of the bunch), do you have any personal preferences between mastery, haste, multistrike or the highly controversial versatility, since they're so close at the moment! Also, how do you go on about deciding if a gear piece is an upgrade or not, in general?
Siegebreaker! Weird talent for sure (doesn't line up with anything etc)! I'd like to hear more about your thoughts on alternatives, etc rage management scaling better later on, better ravager positioning with learning the fights etc. etc... More on talents: Which is your preferred 75-tier talent, and how do you go on about using it?
I'd also like to see your fury UI, since arguably there's many things to track and follow (rage, enrage etc...). Do you use weakauras or anything to track buffs, trinkets, etc? If so, I'd be interested to see!
Cheers! Always nice to see fury warrs around in these rough times...

Re: Roufûs the Noble, Fury Warrior (RG1)
Hihi, furries.
Re: Roufûs the Noble, Fury Warrior (RG1)
Hihi,
Mostly i just 'like' the feel of Fury. I'm a firm believer in play what you like, no point playing the game if you're not playing how/what you like. If i recall warrior DPS has tended to be a bit 'rocky' at the start of some expansions. It will naturally creep up with gear and the inevitable nerf> buff cycle of wow. HOW they do it, well probably buff single target dps somehow, aoe/cleave is pretty solid. Maybe just nudge bloodthirsts base crit up, or increase WS's dmg. like i say it'll naturally improve so i don't want them to over do it.
I had a rant yesterday about 'crappy' epics with stats i don't want, a versatility, haste item might as well be cloth int for the way i'm leaning atm, so i've got a bag full of unwanted items just 'waiting' incase they do a really dramatic change or my spec changes.
I'm currently Crit + Mastery. They feel nice together and with enrage being up almost constantly with very little downtime its a fairly constant dmg increase. My issue with versatility is it feels like if you're in a fight where you've got all the time in the world to avoid incoming dmg, part of its wasted. I feel bad allocating stats to it, when i could just ...move out of the fire, as opposed to take less fire dmg.
Siegebreaker is a product of my CM's mostly. i know SB will hit, i know it won't be wasted. If its a tank moving a 4km to avoid a 3cm aoe floor effect or a boss that moves a lot Rav doesn't feel as useful ALL the time. SB also offers a little more utility, not a lot but a little. For raids, i'll almost certainly go back to Rav, as i 'know' what's going to be tanked/where and for how long, and the numbers are clearly on its side.
I'm on Vigilance currently, its an extra 'tank' cd in some cases, or it lets up on healing X dps doing Y dmg heavy role. I don't use safeguard, and can't say i have ever, i get why you MIGHT want to to beal with a certain mechanic, but mostly you're safer with Vig and you don't have to move! Spell reflect if useful when/if the fight warrants it. I carry a stack of tomes around, nothings set in stone.

Thats mah UI, IF i have raid frames up they're top left, nothing special. I don't have any combat texts, as i don't like the look and i don't need them. Tell Me When does eveything i need tbh.
