My main spec is Unholy, offspec DW Frost, due to theorycrafting im dual wield frost, testing it out in the next siege of orgrimmar heroic raid im going to do just to test it, im constantly trying to improve my character

Raid role

My current role is I am the main melee dps i would say, I constantly look at simulationcraft and warcraftlogs to see if im doing anything wrong. Furthermore, im a extremely active user of Sentrytotem.co.uk where the top dk mendenbarr checks out my logs, the last 3 times he has said my rotation is perfect and there is no room for improvement, though you can ALWAYS improve.

Talent choices
Glyphs:
Glyph Of Anti-Magic Shell - I use this glyph because It gives a full soak without losing health and increases survivability. For example, on garrosh hc during whirling corruption empowered if healer goes too far or i accidently venture too far and I drop to 10% i can activate it, usualy i activate at start but just listing a scenario.
Glyph of Death And Decay: It is a nice glyph to have on certain adds which need to be kited, for example if the adds need slowing i can drop that and they get dropped, also helps on siegecrafter heroic.

Talents:
Tier 1 I choose Unholy Blight to proc the trinkets on the fight. On spoils I use unholy blight for quick diseases on every single target but on Iron Juggernaut I will use Plague Leech as it is around a 10% dps gain on Single Target damage.
Tier 2 I choose Purguatory as it is nice and helps not waste a combat ress, however if the raid leader requests I can also take anti-magic zone no problem.
Tier 3 I choose Death's advance as it is nice t o have movement speed buff and Dk's struggle on some fights where movement speed is needed e.g lei shen hc helm of command therefore it is really nice to have something like that.
Tier 4 I choose blood tap as it requires some skill to use but when the effort is put to learn how it is used fully it is a dps gain to the others .
Tier 5 depends on the fight

Off-specs and Alternative characters
I've tanked Dark Shamans heroic on my offspec Blood, no notable alts as of yet:) just a570 ele shaman but wouldnt really want to play it unless u need

Yep i have a mic which i can speak and im more than happy to go around on forums and check strategy and discuss

Sorry for taking a while to get back to you, it's been a difficult decision, but I'm afraid we can't offer you a raid trial at this time. Since you'd need to faction transfer before passing a trial, I'm pretty much letting you know that your chances at that are slim for a few reasons. Mainly that your dps is low compared to our current (two) dps DKs, as well our roster is near enough full now.. and with a lot of melee at that!

If you would be at all interested in a social spot for now, we'd be happy to offer it - and we could reconsider you for raiding in WoD. If it's raiding right now that you're after, well then good luck on your hunt! I'll sacrifice some gnomes so the gods may favour you, no worries.

thanks for reply, i can reconsider faction changing but just a reply to low dps. Im not sure where you got that from, even though your dk's are ~7 ilvls ahead of me i do more dps on some fights.

I do more dps yet again while they are 7 ilvls ahead of me fallen protectors Btw at the time of these logs i was 579 so in essence they was actually more or less 8 ilvls ahead of me.

that is over 20k higher than your raid group

My intention is not to brag or anything, I just think if your going by the word of your dk that my dps is low, my logs are actually better. The DK in your raid group wastes much RP during AMS soaking phases and actually overall does less dps than me. This is the unholy dk im talking about since he does more dps than the other one.

Just to reiterate, im not trying to brag or sound like a dick, im merely responding to what you said about my dps being lower, i completely disagree.

First of all, you're entitled to your oppinion. But we have looked at your logs and already compared them to ours. 1 thing I can already see is that you do not know how to compare logs or read them propperly. Let me explain:

1 ) You're compared logs from two different sites so you have to look at the effective dps (which is always lower than dps). The different sites, Wacraftlogs: DPS(e) World of logs DPS(effective).

2) You're comparing fights that are 1~2 minutes shorter and ours, shorter time -> faster kill -> higher dps/effective dps. If you'd compare the logs to similar time as yours we'd have higher dps and you.

Also at this current state we cannot offer you a trial spot as we have a strong melee line up and many other melees who're currently being trialed. So the only thing we can offer you is a social spot untill Warlords hits when the socials who want to raid will be trialed.

We keep 'em separate = no cleave damage + longer fight.

Also note that on Dark Shamans, Beastaly (the only DK in the raid at that time) was tanking in blood spec! I never heard of comparing tank dps .

Had another question which I forgot to ask. If we do get in for trialing, which race are you going to be changing to? Since you being an orc you'll loose a substancial amount of dps on longer fights.

Either Worgen, Gnome or Dwarf. Ill run a simcraft on it if i get a trial. But i wont lose a substantional amount im sure.
Since in wod gnomes get 5 more rp and 1% more haste and i guess escape artist could be nice
dwarf getting 2% crit bonus damage which potentially could be nice aswell and stoneform is nice
worgen ofc 1% crit though im not sure if it will be better than gnome or dwarf,

True, didn't read it closely enough. However, our tactic is to run away during the siege phase, so that will make the fight longer and affect dps a lot (everyone's just standing around). We've never tried another tactic as it's quite a safe one and why fix something if it isn't broken.
