[Raider] Duress, Lvl 90 Retribution Paladin

Who is your character?
[Your character name, class, specs, and Armory link. Try to log out in main-spec gear]
Dûress, Retribution Paladin ilvl565
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/d ... s/advanced

Who are you?
[Your name, age, where you're from, etc]
My name is Conny Larsson, I am IRL lvl37 ;-) and I live just outside of Stockholm, Sweden.

Which of our two raid groups are you applying for?
[RG1 or RG2? You can find more information about them -here- (pending update to this page) and -here-. You should have a preference, but do mention if you haven't enough information to decide.]
Both, I would love to be part of a progression group but basically as long as I get to raid I am happy. :-)

Raid role
[Describe your current role in a raid team, how you prepare for it and how you judge your own performance. Where do you learn new things and keep yourself updated on your class?]
Im one of those deeps peeps, but figure to chip in utility as well(being Pally and all). I try to make sure I have flasks and own food to last a raid evening. I keep up on info with guides(Icy Veins mostly), Youtube vids of encounters and BiS-lists like maxdps.com. If I see another retri outperform me I inspect their gear try to figure out if they do something differently than me by asking or checking detailed reports on Skada. I dont want to claim that I perform like a pro, but I am definately well over average. A progression raid would help me become even better.

Experience
[What is your prior raiding experience and when did you do it (ie, did you clear a raid when it was current content or not)? If you've performed any character change re-rolling in your time, what character(s) and role(s) did you play during which content?]
I have experience up to a couple of decent tries on Heroic Shamans in SoO. I stopped raiding more or less a couple of weeks back when my current guild The Yawning Dragon fell apart and stopped raiding totally. Historically speaking I have played since Beta, where I was a Warlock. At Vanilla launch I switched to Holy Priest and played that through until BC hit, then I switched to this character. I have played this character as my main ever since and have cleared basically all content when it was current.

Off-specs and Alternative characters
[How comfortable are you switching to your off-spec for a fight/raid if needed? Do you have any alts that would also be a viable option for raiding with us? (for the case that we love you but can't fit your main in our rosters) Please add Armory links for other characters if so, and tell us to what degree they are/have been played.]
I would be quite comfortable to switch to any off-spec. I do not currently have one on this character because I have been waiting for a guild to tell me what they need most. Neither healing nor tanking is new to me so I would be happy to pick any of them and I already have such alt characters.
I have several lvl90 alts: Prot Tank, Frost Mage, Resto Shaman, Shadow Priest and a Frost Deathknight. I also have a lvl85 Warlock, a lvl85 Druid and a lvl81 Hunter. All of these are basically just casual playing, maybe except for the Mage and DK (linked below), where I have put in a little more effort. I have only raided LFR with those tho so far but I find them fun to play.

Frost DK: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/d ... ess/simple

Communication
[Do you have a microphone and how comfortable are you with using it during encounters if needed? Are you happy to use these forums for discussion of tactics and general scheming?]
Yes, I have a microphone and I am comfy using it. Forums is for me a natural part to also discuss things.

World of Logs stuff
[If possible please link a log with you in it, raiding current content - it helps us, and you, in reviewing your application.]
I have just started exloring WoL so I have yet to fix myself up. Sorry!

Guild History
[What other guilds have you been in? What made you move(/plan to move) from these guilds, and why join ours?]
Most recent guild is The Yawning Dragon, and it fell apart and halted all raiding just a couple of weeks back. Before TYD I was in Nova Scotia and was part of their raiding group but because of a medical incident I had to stop for a while. When I came back they had either replaced me totally in raids or stopped raiding, so I left. I only got to know one person in there who was a healer named Geeraff that had also moved to TYD before me, so it wasnt that hard to leave. I select tRC because of info from Quikfizzix(explained at "How did you hear about us").
Before this I transferred to this server with my old Guild Vision of Excellence from The Venture Co in hopes of getting a new world with new players (old server is basically dead) but that failed miserably.

Raid availability
[Can you generally make all of our raiding days (for either RG1 or 2), or are there any difficulties with this? Our raid schedules are found -here-.]
I can be available for anything and everything.

References
[How did you hear about us? And do you know someone from the game who can vouch for you as player/person?]
I was doing a PuG SoO normal with one of your members Quikfizzix and while raidchatting he made tRC sound like a nice place to be, and it also seems like most of TYD people I got to know while in there had moved here already, so it would be nice to stay in touch with them. I don't know if Youshi and/or Lanaiba can vouch for except that I am a nice guy (no really I am)! ;-)

About you
[A little something about yourself as a person. It can be brief if you like, it's just a sort of introduction to the rest of the guild. :)]
I work with IT and live in a house with my girlfriend who is also playing WoW alot. My hobbies are programming, small scale production of analogue games(boardgames/cardgames), cars and constructive technology.

Miscellaneous
[If you have any extra notes that do not necessarily fit in anywhere else, stick 'em here.]
I would love to find a guild with a friendly atmosphere and solid raiding, and I think tRC qualifies there. I would very much like to be part of a progression raid, and I am indeed prepared to put the time and effort into it, but basically as long as I get to raid anything I am happy. Most important for me is being part of a community of mature and great individuals to have a laugh or two with. Having said that, if you do not think I fit the profile of a Raider in your Guild I would like to stress I could settle for a Social spot, and perhaps be a great reserve raider to call upon when you need it.

Best regards, Duress
