Azraphale - Application
Hello all. I would like to start by introducing myself.
I am 29, live in Chesterfield (UK) and am an office worker. Or, how I prefer to call myself - a desk monkey.
I am fairly new to WoW, having owned the game for only a couple of weeks. However, now that I do own it, I'm hooked and have been steadily feeding my addiction most evenings since!
The people I have come to blame for this not-so-terrible affliction are my real life friends Themrs, Drakus and Selphie. Bless their cotton socks...
Needless to say, I am still learning the game but am enjoying it immensly and particularly enjoy the social side of it.
I am a seasoned veteran when it comes to RPGs, too. In real life I have enjoyed the pleasures of Vampire TM, Werewold TA, the Hero System, B5 RPG and many more.
I have also played many computer RPGs which include the very impressive Baldur's Gate series. In fact, WoW is so far the only game I would say is as good as the aforementioned games.
But I digress. Now to the point...
My character is named Azraphale and is (currently) a level 10 Night Elf Hunter. Although if she isn't at least a level 20 by the end of the week I deserve to be shot!
The character will be my main character, though it is quite early and there is plenty of scope to create other characters if the guild or I require it. Afterall, Captain Kirk said it best; "the need of the many outweigh the needs of the few". But don't assume I am a Trekkie, I would hate that!
The reasons for joining a guild are quite simply that I wish to socialise with people who share common goals. It is, afterall, nice to be part of a team. As I am new to the whole WoW thing, I am looking to get out of it whatever comes my way. I want to explore, see end-game content, socialise and have fun. Kicking a the Horde's collective ass wouldn't hurt either.
When it comes to questing, I am very much a team player. The end goal is what is important and if it means a little sacrifice for the common good, then fair enough.
I look forward to hearing your response.

Actually, that was Spock.Azraphale wrote: The character will be my main character, though it is quite early and there is plenty of scope to create other characters if the guild or I require it. Don't think there'd be any problem with inviting you. Waiting on the go-ahead from another officer, as is rule.

Oh. my. God.Azraphale wrote:Although, I do seem to remember Kirk reversing the quote when defending his decision to return for Spock, which is probably from where the error stemmed...
So let me clarify...this is Peek's friend. I just met him once. I don't know him at all really...yep, that's it. He's definately not with me...
Actually you're both right, they both repeat the quote at different times in the film(s). There's also "...or the one" appended to it in places.Azraphale wrote: Although, I do seem to remember Kirk reversing the quote when defending his decision to return for Spock, which is probably from where the error stemmed...
I really don't think I'm a trekkie at all but I'm worried that I can remember vividly the scene where the quote first comes up and Kirk says "message Spock" - "none that I'm conscious of Captain, except of course happy birthday".
