Who are you?
My name is Rachael, I am 25. I am half-Spanish and English, residing in Oslo with my fiancé Espen (Adax, who is also applying). We are applying separately, although jointly in the sense that we would both like to continue playing together and would like a spot each (bit cheeky, sorry).

To which Raid Group are you Applying?
Considering that we have only just started HFC, thanks to the invite your guild gave us on Wednesday, we are applying for RG2. In addition to being relatively new to this raid, 2 days a week and a friendly atmosphere is just the thing we were looking for.

Experience
TBC
I started playing in TBC as a resto druid, but other than doing 2v2 arenas and Karazhan, I don't have much more experience in that expansion. Also, this was on an old account, which I have not used since then.
WoTLK
Outright ignored this expansion (unfortunately, as it seemed like such a good one. Alas! I had more important things to do).
[Additional information (ignore if easily embarrassed): Espen and I met at University and we soon enough found out that we had WoW in common, thus encouraged each other to play again (you know what I mean, when you are having a shower together and you blurt out words such as 'aggro'... makes the other person suspicious)].
Cataclysm
Played a considerable bit in this expansion:
PvE: as a resto druid normal/HC in BWD, Firelands and Bastion (Viri Fortuitus-Bladefist)
PvP: as a resto shaman secured 1900 RBG rating.
MoP
We mostly played towards the end of this expansion:
PvE: as a resto shaman we have the ahead of the curve 10man and 25man SoO (Inceptio-DefiasBrotherhood), we did also manage Mythic during the expansion but after the patch.
WoD
We started playing at the start of the expansion, however we took a considerable break and have only recently returned:
PvE: as a resto shaman we have the ahead of the curve Imperator HC (Inceptio-DefiasBrotherhood), we started on normal and HC BRF, but our guild slowly disappeared as guildies were busy with other things.

Raid Role
I am a healer, to prepare for fights I check YouTube videos such as Fatboss and Two Minute Tips. It is difficult to say how I judge my performance, I enjoy healing and I feel it just comes naturally. Obviously, once you have more experience in certain fights, you can improve and excel, but for that you need practice.
In order to compare my performance, I checked on sites such as Mr. Robot and World of Logs, in most cases I was top 1% in the world, with normal HM and BRF, and in one instance I was top 11 Resto Shaman EU. Also, Icy-Veins is where I check stat priority, etc.

Your Spec
Being a healer, we don't have a rotation, but adapt to what is needed. I hope I gave a good impression of my skills and abilities during Wednesday's raid (although I was all panicky with the anticipation of 'the eye' during Iskar's encounter).
Glyphs
With regards to my glyphs I use 'Glyph of Chaining' because it improves a very expensive heal and having the 3 second CD it also moderates my use of it and therefore moderates me draining my mana).
'Glyph of Riptide' is brilliant and a necessity especially for a HoT blanket heal on the raid.
'Glyph of Healing Stream' take it or leave it to be fair, but there are not better glyphs.

Off-specs and Alternative characters
I have occasionally played as an elemental shaman if it was needed during a boss. I personally find that dpsing is not as fun, and more competitive, than healing and therefore would always choose to heal over dps. Communication
I have a microphone and I am fine speaking during encounters. Although, it might take a few runs to completely feel comfortable to natter inanely. I am more than happy to discuss tactics and to check the forums as often as required.

Combat Logs

I believe in the saying: less is more. Especially with regards to addons.

Guild History
The guilds that we have been in for the most are:
Viri Fortuitus-Bladefist. The main reason for leaving this guild, and the realm itself, was due to the death of both guild and realm. We moved during MoP to DefiasBrotherhood.
Inceptio-DefiasBrotherhood. We have a lot of friends there, and they are all a great lot of fun. Unfortunately, most members no longer play for a whole myriad of reasons.

Raid availability
The raiding days/times of RG2 are perfect.

One night while I could not get to sleep, I was being a nerd and checked out the forums. That is when I found the guild recruitment post. A couple of days later, I sent a friend request to Aceous and I also got in touch with Jimmble who subsequently invited me to that evening's raid.

About you
I consider myself to be quite a determined individual, who is kind and can be quite odd. Also, I am known to be very honest and to go on long rants and debates about more or less anything. My bachelor is in law and I am now preparing for my art history Mlitt.
