Raiding, activity and progress

Why did I pick Raven Council?
I have been in a few 25man guilds so far and I have not felt that they fill all my requirements to be considered as a good and a suitable guild in my opinion so far. The reason why I also want a 25man guild is because of my previous experiences with 10man guilds which I did like, but do not prefer, ’cause I do really like the 25man atmosphere. I also think its a lot more fun to me more players in a group for the same purpose, aswell as the communication with all the other good and loyal players. I do prioritice the raiding in the guild, however I do also take what happens outside of the raiding time serious, which I have so far found very good about you in Raven Council. After all im not only a player who comes to raid, im a person who want to do something outside raid times with the guild aswell, improve, complete the challenges and other fun activites to be found. Therefore these are my reasons why I would like to apply to Raven Council.

About me:
Hello! My experience from the exam I got is that I have learned how to use more than 10 different editing programs, for websites/pictures/posters/movies and much more. I also know how to illustrate 3D movies and create them by myself, of course it takes time, but until now I have created many different houses and also made movies about them in the programs, so I have a good creativity. Atm. I am studying at unviersity.

While I am playing World of Warcraft, there are several things that I prioritize, like Friends, always appear as a good player, care about others, having a good time and of course getting forward in the game (such as progress and success in mostly PVE, but also PVP for fun while I don't PVE).

To summarize myself, I am a player that takes World of Warcraft serious (as described above), but also wants to enjoy the game and have a good time playing with some other really good players especially when its on Defias Brotherhood!

Does our raiding schedule suit you?:
Yes

Do I have any alts? (link armory):
My alt characters:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/o ... n/advanced Warrior
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/o ... z/advanced Warlock
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/o ... eck/simple Tank+ Resto Druid with mostly experience in FL as described below.
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/r ... ran/simple Holy Paladin, good experience and healing skills in general, unfortunately no that PVE geared atm.
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/o ... oit/simple Galoit Disc+Shadow Priest, just an alt that I have but not played to much on, but I do still have it to learn and get better knowledge for priests.

Previous expansion experience?:
I have done PVE + PVP for quite a long time during World of Warcraft. I am a vanilla player, and during Vanilla I did all the normal things you did when you played Vanilla of course! Like experiencing the game, the very first and start of it, it's just such good memories!

Here is the most of my experience from Smackér in Cataclysm:
It started with BoT - BWD - Tot4W where I was playing with my druid (mordeck) as tank with my irl. friends, our goal were to have a good time but still get progress and clear the contents of course! Later on during the summer 2011, when Firelands were released I have been playing and raiding on my druid mostly as Tank in a weekly raid together with my neighbour, which we started. It was hard work, but we managed to get realm first "pugg" Ragnaros kill. I also did 6/7 HCs quite fast in there, and I do know everything about Firelands for all classes, since I were raiding there for a long time as all roles (healer, tank, dps)!

However, my real raiding experience of Smackér started in a bit of the end of Firelands, where I joined my previous weekly raid (the one I did BoT- BWD - Tot4W with) on my hunter. That was the moment when I really fell in love with my hunter, and that's also the moment when I decided to get my Hunter as Main!

I cleared 6/7 HC in Firelands with my hunter, we couldn't do more because lack of attendance from other players, and that our DK from Method migrated. However I have done Ragnaros HC a lot of times now, so that content is cleared of course, got experience of taking care of all the Magma traps with Deterrence/Disengage/Grip from a priest. I'm also used to do the timer call when to run from one point to another, like at the Molten Seed, and in the last phase I usually take care of the Cloudburst, when I am surrounded by deluge, which makes me immune to take damage when I am taking out the Dreamflames! However I have experience of almost every boss in game now, and especially really good knowledge from every boss in Cataclysm, since I have been helping out raidleading the FL pugg with my dear neighbour Jocose.

Then we have Dragon Soul, where I have been the Hard Core dps in my weekly pugg, we also got 6 HC down prenerf. Mostly why my dps isn't that impressive from all the boss fights back then is because the things that I had to do, like to provide the raid with special things, but in my opinion, I still think that it is way more important to do the things right with maybe a little lower damage than just doing more damage and failing. In end of content when it was gear equal I were getting some good top ranks on most bosses. However, I have great experience and knows exactly what to do in DS up to 8/8 HC in Tank / Dps / Healer!

Some roles that I were needed to do in Dragon Soul was that I were supposed to make sure that all the Flails and Eyes were killed during Zon'ozz. Single target the blobs, aoe the adds, handle the damage on Mana Voids on Yor'sajh. Soak the ice crystals (if needed with deterrence for lesser damage taken) and provide the raid with Aspect of the Pack on Hagara if using the running tactics during ice phase. Deterrence soaking on Ultraxion. On Warmaster I were generally needed to be soaking a part of the ship (we were divided into soaking teams) and focus on dragons but also use slowing or rooting effects on sapper. Taking care of grips on Spine and also call out timers for it. No specific role on Madness except Ice trap on bloods in last phase.

Best fights from previous expansion
Al'akir: I just loved the concept of almost being in heaven and have the opportunity to fly in the end and kill something that big.
Ragnaros: Because I have had loads of good and bad times on him, but something that I really can look back to and feel good about is the fights where I killed Ragnaros together with people I had been progressing with and that we actually felt an end. Some of these friends I had also been playing with in Vanilla, where we faced the same guy again, Ragnaros the annoying, but the kills of Ragnaros in Firelands actually felt better.
Funniest fights: Ultraxion, because I just cant get it how hard it is for other people to fail pushing 1 button.

Best fights from Pandaria
The spirit kings: Because of that there is different bosses with specific mechanics in one boss.
Elegon: I do like the new concept of the light and shiny encounter, but also that it has the mechanic of actually letting people who fail quite hard drop like a stones.
Thok the Bloodthirsty: Because he is showing people what real one-shot is while running over them.

Previous Guilds

Previous guilds? and reason for leaving?:
I have been in different guilds, some social and some more specific for raiding the contents. I have been playing on Outland horde for the most of my time in WoW (also Alliance during Vanilla), but unfortunately my hunter didn't become my main until Cataclysm. I started to join a Swedish guild called Fenimo, where I had my other characters too, but I didn't really raid that many times with them because I were raiding with some of my in real life friends, which I'll describe below.

I were basically in the guild Fenimo during my whole time on Outland, until I migrated with my dear mate Supremity, we decided to move together to Sanity - Bladefist Alliance, but they merged with a horde guild called Immersion, and just before that many of our good raiders left the guild and we were needed to take in under geared socials to fill the raid spots. This lead me and Supremity to go to Silvermoon and after that Grim Batol. We joined a guild called Clarity on Jaedenar that disbanded when we were trials. After that I didn't have much time to raid because I were about to start university and didn't keep up that well unfortunately, so I took a break from raiding in the middle of tier 14.

After all that I started my raiding together with SoO release with a guild Amnesia and got down 10 Heroics 10man quite early. Then some people left from the guild and I was taking a break until I joined a less important guild which I cleared 13 Heroics with.

Are you currently applying any other guilds?:
No.

Additional

Contact Information (Battletag):
Reygar#2217 – If you ask nice and say pretty please you can get my Snapchat or Kik also. ^^

Anything I wish to add?:
Bartender; To give myself a bar setup that fits the best for me.
MikScrollingBattleText; Makes it easier for me to see what damage I am dealing with different abilities.
Deadly Boss Mods; Generally helps me out during all the pve, but mostly in raids where it usually yells out if I get any special debuff/buff on me, saying what abilities the boss is using, telling what phase that will begin by a explaining text.
Skada: Shows me what amount of DPS and Damage I do, also good to see what damage both me and others do on different targets and just general performance.
Quartz: Provides me with some extra good cast bars for my pet, myself, enemies and my focused target.
JSHB

GEAR Information:
To gain most damage available I have of course followed the Stats order from a bunch of different sites that says the same, and that I have also experienced and tried out different ways to get a confession myself that its the best order they show!

Stats order: Hit > Expertise > Agility> Critical Strike Rating > Haste > Mastery (but there is a possibility to change Haste < Mastery depending on current stats).
Reforge: Mastery and Haste to Hit and expertise, then when capped, Mastery/Haste --> Crit.
Gem: Agility always! Unless good socket Bonus

Major Glyphs
• Liberation which grants me healing when disengaging, except from Siegecrafter where I need to use Glyph of Disengage if soloing it depending how you will do it in raid.
• Animal Bond provides both me and my pet to receive 10% more healing.
• Deterrence gives me 20% damage reduction.

Minor glyphs
In general minor glyphs doesn't provide that much for the raiding else than; Glyph of Stampede gives me a bit more damage, since my Ferocity pet (Sambas SV or Spectral BM) is doing more damage than the other pets I have in my stable. Sometimes I am using the specific pets for each buff I could get, but it's not needed while I'm in a raid group where those buffs is already given (of course I will change it if we miss any buff).

Keybinds
Explosive Shot = Q
Glaive Toss = T
Multi-Shot = Shift + E
Kill Shot = V
Serpent Sting = E
Arcane Shot = 3
Cobra Shot = 2
Black Arrow = F
Disengage = Shift + B
Camouflage = Control + C
Stampede = Shift + 3
Rapid fire = Shift + 2
Misdirection = Shift + M
Master’s Call = Shift + 4
Deterrence = Shift + G
Every Man For Himself = Shift + C
Murder of Crows = Shift + F
Feign Death = Control + F
Virmen’s Bite = R
Ice Trap = Shift + S
Snake Trap = Control + R
Scatter shot = Shift + T
Binding Shot = Shift + V
Tranquilizing Shot = Shift + Q
Flare = Shift + 1
Freezing Trap = Shift + R

Professions
I do at the moment have Inscription to provide me Secret Tiger Claw (520 Agility and 100 Crit to shoulders).
Leatherworking is the second one I have which gives me Fur Lining - Agility (500 Agility to Bracers).

Talents
Tier 15; Crouching tiger, hidden Chimera which give me the possibility to get Disengage and Deterrence off cooldown faster, which improves my survival chances and possibilities to take less damage or do more damage depending on the less travelling range of Disengage. Opportunity here to change it for Posthaste for increased speed after Disengage.
Tier 30: Binding Shot, for aoe stun.
Tier 45; Aspect of the Iron Hawk, 15% more Attack power and reduced damage taken by 15%.
Tier 60; Thrill of the Hunt for more Arcane shots and Multi shots procs.
Tier 75; A Murder of Crows (Bird is the word!)
Tier 90; This one is a bit tricky, since both Barrage and Glaive Toss are both good ones, but I do however keep myself to Glaive Toss because of its short cooldown and damage dealt, which also most preferred.

COMBAT INFORMATION

Single Target - Boss fights Survival
Survival Hunters does have a priority system such as that you should use the ability that's highest on the list and off cooldown at any given time.
Since the 4.3 patch, Survival Hunters have got a 15% buff to the damage from Explosive Shot. It is a very nice buff indeed, but as Explosive Shot is already the top priority, it doesn't change the rotation/priority. BUT it makes it even more important than ever to get LoL (Lock and Load, Granting 2 Explosive Shots to cost no Focus and trigger no cooldown. The effect lasts for 12sec. With the additional T.N.T I have 20% chance to grant LoL).

Lock and Load explanation: When LoL procs, I get 3 Explosive Shots in a row (2 to not cost any focus). However I might be getting the LoL when I'm on quite high focus, which leads me to alternate using the Explosive Shot and another shot (Arcane Shot if high focus or Cobra shot between to get a third Explosive shot available after the LoL).

When using my Rapid Fire: The best time to use it is when I have used all my focus and in start, because it will refresh while im doing Arcane Shots. Also of course using Agility increasing objects/items.
Survival Hunter Priorities + Rotation: The ability which is the highest on the list and off cooldown should be used at any given time.

• Before fight; Make sure to have Aspect of the Iron Hawk. Have the Hunter's Mark on the target and using Misdirect on the tank. Also Prepot + Flask + Food buff of course!
• Top Priority; Explosive shot and Apply my Serpent Sting if its not already on (which it should since it's restored by my Cobra Shot hits).
• Second Priority; Have the Black Arrow up when it's out of cooldown, and use Kill Shot if possible. Keep up Murder of Crows + Glaive Toss
• Third Priority: Arcane shot if I have plenty of Focus available, and of course Cobra Shot if I am low on focus.

Also take in consideration that the hunter tier 90 talents could be different during the different bosses to gain best effect, which also leads to a high priority of it, I would personally say depending on situation, otherwise between second and third priority. But I mostly prefer Glaive Toss.

Survival Hunter AOE Rotation:
• Misdirect the Tank, else he will get sad and probably hate me .
• Multi-Shot until I run out of Focus, then Cobra Shot and then Multi-shot again, once and repeat to get the serpent stings up fast as possible.
• Put an Explosive trap (thrown with Trap Launcher activated) at the adds/mobs.
• Glaive Toss the back target to make all of the targets infront get hit by the blades.
• Forasmuch as that I am a Survival Hunter, my Serpent Sting will be applied by Multi-shot.

Hello!
Just a few things i'd like to add. Since you didn't use our template for the raiding application there's a few things missing:

1) Did you read the "before applying" post?
2) Do you have any logs for HC fights in SoO?
3) Talent/Glyph choises for the last 3 bosses in SoO. Obviously we want a bit more detail rather than just "because this is the best talent".
4) And lastly the most important part, what do you think about gnomes?!

1) I did read it through, unfortunately since I have a million words long application I missed a few details of it. :p
2) I don’t have any proper personal logs sadly. However you could see it in Supremity’s application.
3)

Siegecrafter Blackfuse:

Talents:
Tier 15; Crouching tiger, hidden Chimera which give me the possibility to get Disengage and Deterrence off cooldown faster, which improves my survival chances and possibilities to take less damage. Opportunity here to change it for Posthaste for increased speed after Disengage if im not soloing the belts. But since im soloing the belts usually I prefer a smaller cooldown on my disengage so I can selfheal me more by using it.
Tier 30: Binding Shot, for aoe stun.
Tier 45; Spirit Bond, if soloing the belt with a group of five people for selfheals, if not soloing the belts im using Aspect of the Iron Hawk.
Tier 60; Thrill of the Hunt for more Arcane shots and Multi shot procs.
Tier 75; A Murder of Crows (Bird is the word!) if im not soloing the belt. If I have to solo the belt, I use Blink Strike for better and more constant damage overall, since crows take a bit to long to be applied and then have its full effect used on the assembly line targets.
Tier 90; Glaive Toss because of its short cooldown and damage dealt.

Major Glyphs:
• Liberation which grants me healing when disengaging, except from Siegecrafter where I need to use Glyph of Disengage if soloing it depending how you will do it in raid.
• Animal Bond (always) provides both me and my pet to receive 10% more healing.
• Glyph of Disengage so I can travel a further distance to the belt if im soloing it (and as a backup where I can use it to not get any debuf from pipe). If not solo belt and I will be on boss I use Deterrence gives me 20% damage reduction.

Minor glyphs (for the lols):
In general minor glyphs doesn't provide that much for the raiding else than; Glyph of Stampede gives me a bit fun, since my Ferocity pet (Sambas SV or Spectral BM) is more awesome than the other pets I have in my stable. Sometimes I am using the specific pets for each buff I could get, but it's not needed while I'm in a raid group where those buffs is already given (of course I will change it if we miss any buff).
Glyph of aspects sometimes to get myself another pet depending on my stance a the current moment to increase my army of pets.

Paragons of the Klaxxi

Trollolol for hunters on aims; Feign Death and take no damage.

Talents:
Tier 15; Crouching tiger, hidden Chimera which give me the possibility to get Disengage and Deterrence off cooldown faster, which improves my survival chances and possibilities to take less damage. Aswell as that I need a smaller cooldown for deterrence to help soak Aims (and for personal survival if needed).
Tier 30: Binding Shot, for aoe stun, useful for the parasites crowd control or bloods.
Tier 45; Aspect of the Iron Hawk for the damage reduction.
Tier 60; Thrill of the Hunt for more Arcane shots and Multi shot procs.
Tier 75; A Murder of Crows (Bird is the word!).
Tier 90; Glaive Toss because of its short cooldown and damage dealt.

Major Glyphs:
• Liberation which grants me healing when disengaging.
• Animal Bond (always) provides both me and my pet to receive 10% more healing.
• Glyph of Deterrence for damage reduction on different parts of the fight and ofc soaking and parasites trying to get food buffs from me and so on.

Garrosh Babyscream

Talents:
Tier 15; Crouching tiger, hidden Chimera which give me the possibility to get Disengage and Deterrence off cooldown faster, which improves my survival chances and possibilities to take less damage. Fits perfectly for the desecrate soaking groups where I disengage out to the location, wait for the aim, then disengage back to raid.
Tier 30: Binding Shot, for aoe stun, useful for the adds in P1 after knocking them, but could also be managed on the transition when adds need to be interrupted and stunned. Unfortunately it could be hard sometimes to get the aoe effect to work on those 3 mobs assigned to my group. Therefore I sometimes prefer Intimidation for single stun.
Tier 45; Aspect of the Iron Hawk for the damage reduction over the whole enocunter.
Tier 60; Thrill of the Hunt for more Arcane shots and Multi shot procs.
Tier 75; A Murder of Crows (Army of birds aww yeah)
Tier 90; Glaive Toss because of its short cooldown and damage dealt.

Major Glyphs:
• Glyph of Disengage for further travel distance, useful for the Desecrate groups and being mobile in the raid.
• Animal Bond (always) provides both me and my pet to receive 10% more healing.
• Glyph of Deterrence for damage reduction during fight and last phase soaking.

4) Gnomes;
They’re loud and annoying.
Sometimes they look adorable and cute, but they are also delicious to eat.
I do also have a wonderful recipe; Bring 2 gnomes, 2 eggs. Beat the gnomes, separate the eggs... or was it? Eh, details. Bacon. I like bacon anyway.
For the girls they could be useful if they had a vibrate setting haha ^^

Hi Smacker

Will see ya for the raid on Thursday as discussed!

We'll be aiming for Immerseus -> Siegecrafter on Thurs, with fairly standard 25 man tactics.

There's a couple of required addons, so please download these if you don't have 'em already:
- EPGP Lootmaster
- Angry Assignments

Cheers!
