1. What is your character's name, race, class and level?
Enigbo, a level 18 Gnome Rogue eventually to be specced for Combat
2. Is this character your main character? Have you had any other characters before this one?
This is my main. I played previously (on which realm I don't recall) as a Night Elf Rogue reaching somewhere in the 50s. At that time I had an alt Paladin whose level I don't recall.
3. What are you looking for in a guild? (raiding, PvP, RP events etc..?)
Ideally I'm looking for people to participate with as we progress through the PvE. I like what was said on the wiki here: we strive "to progress through all end-game content". That's me. I'm also a keen PvPer, and have fought a great deal already (and for the first time on any character), so far obviously only at Warsong Gulch. I have the rewards to prove it - in fact, I think they're a good reason to do PvP, the thrill of fighting against NPCs aside. So, I want to experience everything PvE and PvP has to offer.
4. What do you expect from <The Raven Council>?
Friendly folk who help each other to level, PvP and explore the game content. Decent RP involving solid characters. A solid, tactical, and serious RP approach to the gameplay (no Leeroy Jenkins unless it's clearly an appropriate time for a laugh). In other words, a Guild that adds atmosphere to the gaming world and the events within it (especially instances - I like to enjoy and take time with my instances). Oh, and I would hope we'd make it a point not to spam the Trade channel - the last time I played, two years ago, people used the channels properly and I miss that (though I accept Blizzard may have dropped the ball making Trade the only cross-city channel).
5. Why <The Raven Council> and not any other guild?
Your entry on the Defias Brotherhood realm forum appealed, especially:

32 yo M, well-travelled, taking a break from work for a while. Quite secretive, so don't take offense if I don't answer your questions. Like music, TV and movies - last film bought Starship Troopers; last album bought (blushes) Dirty Dancing OST; last TV show watched "Glee".

I'd like to ask you about your "requirements" on PvP and RP. Since although some of our members do participate in PvP, "official" guild PvP is rather limited to rare occasions (e.g. Guild meeting after-actions).

Same applies (to a lesser extent) to RP, that while there is guild lore and all that, the RP core group is rather in minority (although it tends to be vocal). Also, we don't have e.g. ICC guild chat. Focus of the guild has really been towards PvE recently.

We very much would like to improve our RP community and thus would welcome you. Some of our characters do have rather detailed backgrounds - but if you are expecting dozen intersecting plotlines going on at any given time with 30 deeply constructed charaters then we are sorry to disappoint .

So, with these caveats: Are you still interested? You might end up arranging some RP events yourself

Re: RP - I guess what I was trying to say is that I want to team up with folk who understand the value of maintaining the illusion of the game-world - I'm here to escape RL for a while . But anything more than that is not really my field (though I don't object to it). I'm not planning on organising events (though I participated in a few in my old Guild that were fun and that I'd be happy to resurrect for RC if you recruit me ). So, anyway - the RP is for the purposes of maintaining the suspension of disbelief, not for the creation of whole story-lines by themselves. Does that make sense?
As for PvP, it turns out that there's a new Guild in the process of being set up called The Gnomish Defence League (GDL), which is the opponent and antithesis of the Horde <War Drum> Guild (see here: http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.htm ... 6265&sid=1 ). It sounds right up my alley, though I'm not as yet sure whether or not the Guild will have people I can PvE with, so I'm on the fence - at the very least, I'd pitch in with them for BGs though!
Oh, BTW, at the moment I'm looking for people to do the low-level instances with. Is that something I'll find with the Raven Council? Can I just re-iterate that I like to enjoy my instances, appreciate the scenery (though I'm not saying I'd pack a picnic), work strategically and above all NOT DIE! I'll happily spend a few hours in an instance. They're so atmospheric it seems a shame to rush them.
So, have I cleared things up? Do I qualify?

That said, although we have a lot of altaholics amongst us, we don't have huge numbers of active characters in the lvl 10-70 range (around a dozen I'd say).
