Epic Mount.
I want one.
What's the easiest way to get one? Save up the 900ish gold or is there something I can do in BG's (I know nothing about the BG/honour/marks stuff) that's faster?

Best thing is to save up the 800g you need for the riding skill. You *can* buy a mount for 30 of each bg marks, but you still need riding skill.. So unfortunately, it's grinding 800g for me and you

Why pay gold, which has taken you time to farm together, to get a mount that gets you places faster? That's just trading time for time.
Now, if you just happen to have 1000g lying around, then that's one thing.

For PvE it's not really needed, but for PvP it's kinda required.
Anyways, I thought Nelle meant that in TBC you will be able to buy better mounts anyways. I'd save those 800g's and buy a TBC mount although I'm not sure what the tbc mounts can do (can they really fly?
)

Yes, to some extent. I don't know if you can adjust height, but I guess you would have to.

Problem is, that in order to be able to buy TBC epic mount you need to get riding skill to 225. And to get it to 225 you need to get it to 150 first, ie. spend the 800g for epic land mount...

Just for information:
I've been told by various sources that 150 Riding Skill cost will be reduced to 600g (540g if you are honoured with the relevant faction) in the next patch (2.0.3 I think).
I haven't heard it from an official source yet, but it might be true. So it's worth bearing in mind if you're considering getting it soon - saving a couple of hundred gold is never a bad thing.
