This bastard game is responsible for an average bedtime of 3am since I started playing.

Wow, that's even later than I go to bed :P.

I've ordered it though from play.com, so I'll see what average I'll get. I also ordered borderlands which should also be cool.

If you enjoyed Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale/Planescape:Torment/Neverwinter Nights (who didn't?) then you will love this.

Actually, I didn't like IWD and NWN too much - IWD was, well, quite a lot like the books with tons of fighting, and the first NWN didn't really work that well out (the promised "you can be just like pen&paper GM" failed for me). The sequels and addendums were ok.

Baldur's Gate II with the unofficial patches is still king :)

IMO, Baldur's Gate II is in real danger of losing it's crown to DA:O.

But, Minsc are just managing to hold on to it for now.

Go for the eyes, Boo!

CBA to read through whole post, but am i the only one who can't stop thinking "This is like single player WoW with LotR elements thrown in"? Haven't completed it yet, but seems to be awesome nevertheless. Currently playing rogue. Oh and does anyone know how/if do i get better gear than that starting gear? Atleast i haven't found anything worthwhile to keep...

no its nothing like that.

wow cant hold a candle to the storyline and immersion of DAO.

and also it borrows from baldurs gate style stuff long predating wow.

Yeh, it's Baldur's Gate with WoW-like interface (that seamlessy converts to BG style when you zoom out :))
