Computer crashed!

Just when i got back to Azeroth, my computer decide to crash for good (again). So i will be away till i get new AND hopefully working one..

once my motherboard got broken and if you have bad luck it can take some components with it, in my case i believe it was my GPU also
and it was an old socket with an agp card i think (way back :P) so then you can get a whole new pc

One of my most memorable crashes ever was when harddrive developed bad sector into "zero" -sector, resulting in computer not recognizing the harddrive at all... Which was kinda bad considering the fact that the broken drive was the one where operating system was on, too.

Well, Jae, think of a power surge. If ye don't have an UPC to "eat" it, the risk of your MB crashing is huge. IF the MB crashes, and depending on the intensity of the power surge, the next components tu burn are, in this order, the RAM, VB and sometimes even the monitor.

Generally, if the MB goes down, it take stuff with it. Most of the times.

true, ive had a lightining surge thru the phoneline before. fried the motherboard.
