Lots of games seem to copy the wow interface nowadays, probably because so many people are used to it now. E.g. borderlands also has 4 classes, a talent system where you can choose out of 3 builds.
Only thing missing is the button bar below, as it's a fps.

Yeah, wow was based on other games too, but it did combine most of the good features of them, while other games before it mostly had some things that were annoying. That's perhaps part of wow's success. It can't be the storyline I think, as there are tons of better storylines and worlds out there.

There *is* ton of lore in WoW if you bother to read quest descriptions. But that's part of the beauty - if you care, you can read them, if not, you can just skip to the task "Kill X chickens". Also, there's books (check out IF's library sometimes), scrolls, etc. You don't need to read'em, but it's always there as an option.

heh I know but i cant collect those stories to charcter allways need to go for the books. So I often use wow wiki for wow stories and information instead of looking for some book again ;).
