I said we would kill Baleroc on heroic today and we did!
It was quite tough and some people died, but we did make it within the enrage timer still and that’s what counts! At first positioning was a bit hard, especially with where the healers should stand. Ofcourse, also some luck was involved as the healers didn’t get linked to anyone with tormented, which was good.
Grats all to those that were there! Now we have just Beth left before we can start on Ragnaros! Tuesday we’ll do a quick raggie one-shot and next week we’ll focus fully on Beth hc from the start.
Our (temporary) nemesis is finally down! Unexpectedly, having four melee dps on the boss actually helped us get him down faster, while the ranged dps were still enough to handle other adds.
The steering went like a breeze as well with hard turns being a lot easier than with only two melee and we got him consistenly to phase 2. It just took some timing with the heroism/time warp to start just before the phase change while all dps focuses on the boss at that point to get there with few enough damage increase in the end.
On to baleroc and beth!

It took us a while, but after we went to two-healing (me and Lyann) we got a lot further everytime, as close as 6% several times. We just needed to hold out long enough in the orb phases but once we got that, we got him.
Congratulations on a job well done!
On to the next boss!
This fight wasn’t so bad as the only difference was mostly the meteors with the firestorms and a longer phase 1. The whole fight took about 15 minutes, which is comparable to the lich king fight. All in all it looks like we can have this heroic on farm already.

With over 80 wipes and perhaps only surpassed by rhyolith in number of wipes, we finally got him down after excruciatingly close wipes (the 15th wipe even got counted as a kill by world of logs for being too darn close).
We got him just in time too with people going on vacation soon. That’s not to say that the rest of the raids for the month are cancelled. We’ll have shannox heroic this thursday already so read up on him!

All the practice the raid before bore its fruits as we one-shotted her tonight without breaking even a sweat (well, it *was* kinda hot though, so people were sweating from heat).
Congratulations to all that wiped all night to come to this penultimate conclusion tonight.
Afterwards we went on to Majordomo Staghelm and almost got him down at least three times to 1%. We’ll get him next time!
